This whole wheat banana cinnamon cake is so delicious! It's the one I tend to make the most and this past weekend I had a huge amount of bananas needing to be turned into a delicious cake but I wanted to spice it up a little. Literally,I was craving the comfort of cinnamon and so I added a good dash of it to the batter.

Steps to make whole wheat banana cinnamon cake:
Ingredients-
1.5 cup (200gm) whole wheat flour
2 medium-sized bananas
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
3/4 cup (100gm) sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2cup (125ml) milk
4 spoons butter/ghee
6-8 chopped almonds
6-8 raisins
Pinch of salt
Toppings:
3-4 chopped almonds
3-4 raisins
Cinnamon powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat a kadai for 10 minutes at a medium flame or if you are using the oven, preheat it to 180°C . Also, grease and line a standard cake tin with butter paper or oil.
In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy and gradually add the milk.
Add the bananas and mix well with the help of hand blender.
Sift together the dry ingredients and stir into the batter.
Transfer the batter to the prepared cake tin.
Top your cake with some chopped almonds and raisins.
Place the tin into the kadai and cover it with a lid. Let it bake for 40-45 minutes at medium flame OR put the tin in the oven and let it bake for 40-45 minutes.
Cake will be done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Switch off the flame and wait for the cake to cool down.
Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on the top and your cake is ready to serve.
